New year's resolutions for 2015

2014 has been a great year. I had the opportunity of doing an internship in an international company where I learned a lot in topics related with marketing matters. I started a healthy life, losing weight and gaining more confidence on myself. I met new people, who gave me good experiences and good memories too and, the last but not least, I habe been working in my city, where I habe been able to enjoy living together with my family and friends.

So, for the next year, my new year's resolutions are to continue living in a healthy way (doing exercise and eating properly), to find a job more suitable to my creative skills, travel more, maybe even doing another internship abroad and to continue sharing great moments with my friends, family and other kind of people who I meet.

Before&Afer "see to believe"

I know I have this blog a little forgotten but like a purpose of "new academic year" (Although I am not in the university anymore), I am going to have my site more updated! I promise hahaha.

These months I have dedicated my time to study English (Like always), also social media, web analytic and marketing courses. Furthermore, I have done an important job hunt (In fact I am working since a few weeks ago in the pharmacy industry) but I continue looking for something more exciting and stimulating in the marketing field and even if I find a new job it is not a problem with my current position because I have the luck that I can combine both.

But today I want to write about a fact that have changed my life style.

A few months ago, when I returned from my internship in Holland, I decided to change my diet habits and to practice more sport in order to have a better health and obviously, and more important to me in that moment, to lose weight. I didn't feel very well with myself... and I wanted to do something about, so since March I have lost around 27 kilos. However, I don't like to call it "to be on a diet", because honestly, I have eaten very well, a little bit of everything, even some caprices sometimes, but in a healthy way and the most important is that I have enjoyed doing exercise.

Things that have helped me to my weight lost have been to eat dishes very yummy but healthy (I have learned a lot of them thanks to many accounts of healthy profiles in Instagram), doing exercise outside meanwhile I listened music, and the most important, enjoying the life!! Because, although I have been "on a diet", I have tried not to give so much importance to that, I mean, that was one part of my life, but I had other aspects that I wanted to enjoy like going out with friends, meeting new people, learning from my courses... there are so many things in your life and you cannot focus on a simple diet!!

My tip is that you need to have a healthy life for you own benefit but without fogetting the rest! Don't worry so much about it.. If you eat in a healthy way and practice sport regularly, the results come to you sooner or later.

And now, scroll down if you want to appreciate the differences between some time ago and now.

Working in a startup!

Working in a project since the beginning, allow you to learn many different things through the way. I have to thank to Neopost for giving me this opportunity a few months ago. Neopost is located in Drachten, in the Netherlands, and it is the first supplier in Europe and the number two in the world in mailing solutions.

This year the company decided to start a new challenge... the introduction in the field of shipping and parcels, offering a new solution for e-commerce.

Due to this kind of companies is gaining more and more importance, Neopost is working in a new service for them, an automatic gift wrapping machine for they can provide to their customers personalized gifts wrapping.

My role in this project has to see with activities of market research, marketing campaigns, sales and customer relationships. First of all, I did a market research to see which are the most promising ones to introduce this kind of machine, then I contacted with a lot of companies and after getting some of them interested, I worked in marketing activities, doing, among other things, brochures, a website and some profiles in differents social networks sites.

I am very happy with this internship, I am learning a lot about editing tools, how to do a market research (or even a website), the best ways (and manners) to get in contact with potential customers and the last but not least is that I am improving a little bit more my English level, and all this, meanwhile I live in the Netherlands, in a country that I love since my Erasmus year.

Share your love, friendship or whatever you want!

I always say that Coca Cola does a very good publicity. Their commercials are, normally, very imaginative and most of them provoke an emotion in us or some kind of reaction.

The last one, share a coke, in my opinion is fascinating... Who doesn't want a coke with his name? A personalized product? A special product only for us? Moreover, we have the possibility to gift the cokes that we find with the name of our friends and family to them.

However, I would have added one element more in the campaign...

Sharing a coke with our friends is fine and easy, but if we propose ourselves a challenge? What about share a coke with friends that regrettably, we don't see very often? Or with school friends or those who we met in the first years at the university and we have not seen anymore... Or even, why not, with our ex-boyfriends or ex-girlfriends... Doing it could mean a challenge for us, for example breaking with our shyness, but even more important...  Could it suppose a new beginning in our old friendship?

I made myself the promise that if I see a coke with the name of an acquaintance or someone who is not in my live now... I will try to save the coke for him, and I will try everything possible to give it to him... (If he or she is a little far away, at least, I am going to show them a picture through Facebook or email)

Because, although is so nice to share a coke with your friends... Isn't would be more special to share it with people who are not in our live anymore, but someday they meant something (or everything) for us?

Freaking out!!

Now that Breaking Bad has finished I feel like I had lost a good friend. I started watching the tv show just a few weeks ago!! I knew about the serie but by one and other reasons I haven't had time to see it up to now. And this summer I started to see, what it is for me, like the best tv serie so far!!!

I have other series to watch like next seasons of Walking Dead, The Big Ban Theory, How I meet your mother... and other ones that family and friends have recommended me, and I know I will forget to Heisenberg shortly, but what can I say??? I am sad for not watching anymore his adventures... his special realtionship with Jessy... his love for his kids....

Always that I say goodbye to a good serie I feel in the same way, I feel sad for not being to able to see it anymore :-( and now it's time to look for in internet about curiosities, behind the scenes, interviews with the characters.... and especially I am looking forward to sharing the final episode with my friends and talk about it long hours!!!

I can't believe I am not going to listen this intro for a new episode anymore!!! :-(

Intern in World NGO Day

This summer I am participating in a project to promote an initiative "World NGO Day", and I am working with an international team from many cities around the world to get their diffusion through Social Media.

This initiative wants to get an international day (February 27th) to recognize the hard job of all NGOs that exist in the world.

Thanks to this internship I am gaining knowledge in this new field for me, because besides the tasks of the internship I am doing some courses of Social Media to learn more together with the practice, and of course, in a way for free and online, because like I want to be a good Community Manager, I want to learn everything by myself and with all the resources that the  internet gives me. Because you can find all what you are looking for in the internet, you only need to be a good searcher!!!

Besides to manage the platforms in the network, I have to do other tasks like to interview people from different NGOs, and I have to say that I have met very interesting people during that time. Even some of them have offered me a trip for free as volunteer in Nepal!!

To sum up, I am very happy with this internship because I am learning a lot about Social Media and how to be a good Community Manager, I am meeting new people and learning from them, and I am doing other different tasks like Marketing Street.

Last week I had to hang posters in my city to get the attention of the walking people. It was interesting, and now I want to show you the pictures of that day:
